Compact, easy-to-use dual-function electronic unit. Designed to attract purple martins to your
martin housing system or use the unit to bring in beautiful songbirds to your yard and bird feeders.

| Bird Abodes SuperGourd |
| Each SuperGourd is made of #2 Food-Grade Polyethylene with Ultra-Violet inhibitors mixed into the blow-molding process to keep the sun's rays from breaking down the material. The walls are 3/16" thick which gives them a high insulation value by reflecting the sun's heat while keeping the inside compartment cool on hot summer days (unlike widely used aluminum houses that radiate the sun's heat directly into the nesting compartments and cause high mortality rates to eggs and baby birds). The inside has a diameter of 10-1/2" (the size of a basketball) that allows more room for the young birds to grow without being stacked on top of each other. Also, because of the larger size, adults lay an average of 6-8 eggs per nest instead of the usual 4-5 eggs in the standard 6" X 6" square compartment (we've even seen some nest with as many as 10 eggs). Each gourd has a built-in rain canopy above the entry that is ridged for the adult birds to stand on. There are seven vent holes in the bottom that allow air to flow up through the nesting material to keep the insides cool and dry. Lastly, there is a screw-off lid on the side that allows for easy clean-out and periodic routine inspections of the nesting compartment. |

| The cost of raw metal production has more than doubled over the last 18 months due to the rising cost of fuel to process it. We have kept our original low prices way past the point of being able to make a profit and have been loosing money on newly manufactured systems.
